A Unique and Thrilling Golf Tournament Experience

Event Overview:

• 2-day tournament offering an unforgettable golfing experience
• Distinctive team dynamic with two-player teams
• Three exciting competition formats: Shamble, Alternate Shot, and Scramble
• LASN Ryder Cup prize for the victorious team
• LASN Cup Points awarded, impacting season-long standings

Team Selection and Captains:

• Two players with the highest LASN Cup Standings are declared captains
• Captains draft their teams during a Zoom meeting the week before the event
• All participants are invited to attend the Zoom draft

Pairings and Match Format:

• Captains determine pairings the night before each day
• One captain presents a team, and the other captain matches with their own team
• Points awarded for winning individual matches and overall performance
• Saturday: 9-hole matches
• Sunday: 18-hole matches

Competition Formats (All Gross Scoring):

1. Shamble:

• Each player tees off, and the best tee shot is selected
• Players then play their own ball into the hole from the chosen tee shot
• Encourages strategic decision-making and teamwork

1. Alternate Shot:

• Pairs alternate hitting shots until the ball is holed
• Requires precision and communication between teammates

1. Scramble:

• Both players tee off, and the best tee shot is selected
• Players then play from the chosen spot, continuing to select the best shot until the ball is holed
• Promotes teamwork and creativity

Social Events:

• Tournament kickoff party on Friday night
• Get-together on Saturday night in the Thousand Oaks area
